Hi all readers. Now that the production of my CCRs has been completed, it is time to talk about my post-production. I have divided up my post-production process into the following for my two CCRs.
CCR1: Presentation with voiceover
Although there was not much editing for the presentation, I did edit my audios a lot. I re-recorded them, cut parts out, and really focused on effectively communicating my ideas. I edited each slide by making the visuals look as good as possible and added the scrapbook animation through Canva, as it goes with the theme of my opening the best.
To download the presentation, I downloaded it as an MP4 video so that the presentation would play on its own. I think this is the best way to present it, and it helped me in figuring out how long the combined presentation is.
CCR 2: Director Commentary
After filming all my clips for my most searched questions interview, I knew it was time to edit. To begin editing, I downloaded all my clips to my computer and picked out the best ones. I then sequenced the clips in my editing timeline on iMovie, shown below. Above is a screenshot from Canva. In the beginning of the interview, there is a brief introduction with music playing. I used Canva to design this and Pixabay to find the sound. I imported the design into iMovie as an overlay.
After sequencing the events in the timeline, I realized I was a full minute over the 3:30 limit. I realized I hadn't yet edited down the clips and, after doing so, made it to 3:29.
Editing took the longest. I had to add a lot of overlays and used a feature called picture-in-picture to add images in the video while I was speaking to add more creativity and visual demonstration to the CCR.
Once the video editing was done, I decided to make a fake YouTube account and post for the video to be played on. I again used Canva (if you can't tell, I LOVEEEE Canva) and put my video right onto it. I may or many not continue to play with this design.
I can't believe this marks the end of my journey and that my CCRS are done. I am one step closer to submitting my project, and I'm both excited and nervous.
